Assistant HR Business Partner - South Region

Job Introduction

Location: South - The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the Groups portfolio within the South,  South West and South East inc London, also South Wales.

With the focus on people, the recruitment and people function are the key enablers for success, we have developed a new role to assist the HR Business Partners to deliver great engagement, retention and performance across the group. The role of Assistant HR Business Partner has been identified as being important in assisting with the delivery of local people strategies.

As the Assistant HR Business Partner for one of our two regions (South), you will be responsible for the supporting the HR Business Partners to deliver the people plan.

General Responsibilities

  • Adopt a partnering approach to practice managers and stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with the HR Advisors for employee relations queries and concerns.
  • To ensure a positive and professional culture by supporting and delivering best place to work initiatives.  
  • Supporting the roll out and embedding of people initiatives, including driving the effective use of the HR information system.
  • Supporting Talent Development plans, while partnering with L&D and HR- empower employees in their own career progression, and provide viable succession plans for key management roles.
  • Supporting HR projects.
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and effectiveness.
  • Providing HR training to Practice Managers
  • Attending monthly area business reviews

Key Attributes

  • CIPD Level 3, Degree (or equivalent) or relevant professional experience
  • Multi-site experience (dental or healthcare experience desirable)
  • Ability to travel to sites and be in attendance approximately 3 days per week
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, and investigations required.
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to successfully partner with employees throughout all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to be agile and flex with the needs of the organisation
  • High level of enthusiastic professionalism
  • Performance and business driven; solutions oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs; Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • A brand ambassador, acting in the company’s best interests
  • Committed team player with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritise workload with high levels of drive and resilience.
