BI Analyst

Main Responsibility

  • Experience using a reporting tool, preference Power BI.
  • Understanding of DAX programming language.
  • Understanding of JSON
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL.
  • Ability to self-learn and use initiative to solve problems

Management Information Reports

  • Produce Power BI reports defined from KPIs set for each company department. Initially working closely with the head of IT to understand the data landscape and progressing to delivering reports on set time scales.
  • Use a modern approach to report design, research custom visual to further enhance report analysis.
  • Produce documentation on calculations and changes made.
  • Organised and efficient approach to report design, the data structure and connections.
  • Work with training department to get reports embedded within the business.

 

Project Management

  • Experience in delivery of work that have set timescales.
  • Focused delivery on task in hand, not to deviate outside of project scope.

 

Data Warehouse

  • Continue to build central data warehouse, all within Microsoft SQL.
  • Create new SQL views that will feed Power BI reports.
  • Be responsible for the data upsize process.
  • Integrate acquisition practice management systems into data warehouse.

Role Description

Rodericks Dental Ltd is a dental corporate with over 220 dental practices in England.  We provide excellent NHS and private dental care to thousands of patients every week.  We were recently included in the inaugural publication of the London Stock Exchanges Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, a list of the 1000 most inspiring SME’s in the UK.

 

The company houses extremely large amounts of data but with limited management information being produced. We are looking for an experienced BI analyst.  Reporting to the head of IT you will work within a small highly skilled IT engineering team to build a set of Power BI reports.  You will have experience working with DAX programming language or Power BI, understanding of SQL programming language and data warehousing. 

 

Working closely with the Head of IT in the delivery of Power BI reports you will have practical experience of working with a reporting tool, ideally Power BI.

 

This role demands excellent programming skills with the ability to self-learn and engage with other departments for further enhancements with their reports. You will work as part of a team but with the ability to take responsibility and accountability for independent work packages. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to extend your skills with the data analysis programme and extend your career within a growing company.
