Dentist Pay Administrator - Finance Department

Full time - Monday to Friday 40 hours per week 

Location: Northampton (Head office)


 Purpose of the Role:

To ensure accurate and timely administration of dentist pay for over 2,000 self-employed clinicians across 225 practices. The role requires high levels of customer interaction, excellent interpersonal skills, and a methodical and diligent approach to ensure the resolution of pay queries and maintenance of accurate data.

Key Responsibilities:      

  • Process the dentist pay for over 2,000 clinicians, ensuring accuracy across 225 practices
  • Liaise closely with clinicians, practice managers, and stakeholders to resolve pay queries promptly and professionally
  • Maintain and update the Dentist Pay System with new practices, contract numbers, and other key data
  • Ensure the dentist pay database is accurate, including monitoring missing rates and negative pay each month
  • Support practice managers, particularly new managers, in understanding and managing the dentist pay process
  • Set up new users in the dentist pay system and provide training as needed
  • Prepare and review pay statements, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and journals for the accounts team
  • Assist with general administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required
  • Timely resolution of pay queries, with a target of resolving 95% within agreed SLAs
  • 100% accuracy in updating and maintaining the Dentist Pay System and database
  • Positive feedback from clinicians and practice managers regarding pay process support

 Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Essential:

 

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with dental pay databases
  • Experience administration or a related role or customer service role.  
  • Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Desirable
  • Strong customer service experience with the ability to interact effectively at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail and methodical work processes
  • Experience working with self-employed professionals     
  • Experience of working in a customer environment
