IT Infrastructure Manager

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager.   Reporting to the Head of IT you will be responsible for an IT infrastructure engineering team to manage our enterprise class infrastructure and systems.  You will have experience in managing enterprise class infrastructure and systems that sit within this.

Working closely with the IT Infrastructure Engineer in the delivery of projects and system changes, you will have practical experience of the deployment, configuration and maintenance of a broad range of diverse technologies with a focus on providing proactive and effective system and user support. 

This role demands excellent technical skills with the ability to support, maintain, upgrade and operate systems. You will manage a systems engineering team against set KPIs. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in project management and innovate whilst running all day-to-day BAU activities.

Enterprise Infrastructure

• Experience with classic 3 tier enterprise environments
• Subject matter on all company IT infrastructure; e.g
  1. Servers
  2. VOIP
  3. PCs
  4. Networking
• Use RMM tool to best ability
  1. Automation
  2. Alerts
  3. Scripts
• Manage all monitoring systems effectively
• Experience in managing enterprise backup solutions, serious attitude toward data protection
• Maintain anti-virus products
• Excellent working knowledge of VMware
  1. Regular patching
  2. Version upgrades
  3. Clusters
  4. VM templates
• Understanding of layer 3 switching

Infrastructure

• Subject matter on 
  1. Latest hardware technology, PCs, Laptops, Servers
  2. Digital Imaging

Software Systems

• Subject matter on all company software systems;
  1. Managing full end to end support of on premise solutions
  2. Managing supplier relationships with SaaS products
• Experience in managing Office 365 products
• Maintain a large Active Directory with GPOs

SD-WAN Network

• Working knowledge of SD-WAN technology
• Optimize and take forward the current setup
• Maintain all VPNs
• Regular firmware upgrades
• Change control process for system changes

Security Controls

• Upmost attitude towards security control
• Work with business, internal IT and 3rd party vendor teams to promote and adopt security best practices
• Maintain/Create a well-balanced security level
• Conduct annual pen test

Emergency/Planned Works

• Be flexible to provide cover/assistance out of hours for major emergencies
• Plan major works out of hours to minimise business disruption
