Location: Hybrid (Office-based, WFH, with National Travel)

The Role: NHS Commissioning Design & Delivery Manager

We're seeking a passionate and strategic leader to design and deliver innovative NHS dental service models that meet evolving commissioning priorities and enhance patient experience. You’ll take ownership of the full lifecycle of new service development—from scoping and design to implementation and evaluation.

You’ll work cross-functionally across our Clinical, Operations, Finance, and Data & Insight teams while also forging strong relationships with NHS commissioners and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). This role is ideal for someone with a blend of project management expertise, healthcare knowledge, and a strong understanding of NHS systems and commissioning strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Design & Innovation: Develop patient-focused, sustainable service models aligned with NHS priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead co-design workshops with clinicians, practices, and NHS commissioners.
  • Commissioning Strategy: Identify and secure new NHS flexible commissioning opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement data-driven KPIs and ensure continuous service improvement.
  • Business Case Development: Create financial models and impact assessments for new proposals.

You Bring...

Essential:

  • Proven experience in healthcare service design and delivery
  • Strong project management skills and strategic thinking
  •  
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Advanced analytical ability, including financial modelling

Desirable:

  • Background in NHS dental commissioning
  • Experience working with ICBs or NHS commissioners
  • Degree in Health Service Management, Business, or related field
  • Training in service design or NHS-specific qualifications

Hybrid working model with national travel. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to evolving NHS and business needs.
